Leo XIV accepts a green glass “Sphere of Humanity”. On 2 September, during his General Audience at the Vatican, Leo XIV received the “Sphere of Humanity” from the U.S.-based Saint Peter for Humanity foundation. Hand-blown by Venini in Murano, the large green glass sphere symbolizes humanity as unique, fragile and irreplaceable and contains four handwritten passages from the encyclical “Magnifica Humanitas.” The gift makes its case for human craftsmanship in the age of AI — perhaps not as intended. #newsApklrbhqar

Polish PM reveals ‘record’ Ukrainian casualty figures The Ukrainian military is losing 27,000 soldiers killed and wounded per month, Donald Tusk has said Published 19 Sep, 2026 00:47 | Update The Ukrainian army is suffering 27,000 casualties a month in the conflict with Russia, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said, offering a rare public assessment of Kiev’s losses. Neither Ukraine nor Russia provides regular updates on its battlefield casualties. Kiev’s Western backers also largely refrain from publicizing exact figures or estimates of how many Ukrainian soldiers are being killed or wounded. Tusk, one of Ukraine’s strongest supporters in Europe, revealed the casualty rate during a speech to the Polish parliament on Thursday. “The new Russian strategy, and above all its new technical capabilities, namely jet-powered drones, are also causing much greater losses on the Ukrainian side,” he said. Our Ukrainian partners have informed me that recently the monthly figure has been 27,000…আরও
Leo XIV’s new Brazil bishop promotes Amazonian Rite valuing indigenous peoples’ “visions of God.” On September 18, Leo XIV appointed Bishop Antônio Fontinele de Melo, 58, as Bishop of Rio Branco, Brazil, until now the bishop of Humaitá. Long CEB involvement Bishop Fontinele is mainly known for his involvement with the Basic Communities (CEBs) of Brazil. They are emphasizing Scripture, lay participation, community organization and social action. He was Porto Velho’s Pastoral Coordinator (2005–10), helped organize the 2008 “Dozinho” Basic Ecclesial Communities gathering, served as the Brazilian bishops’ Northwest Region adviser to the Basic Ecclesial Communities (2009–12). He spent four years in their national structure before becoming Bishop of Humaitá in 2020. In Brazil they have strong historical links with liberation theology, ecological activism, inculturation and indigenious rituals. CEB has own rituals CEB adopted a ritualized form of communal spirituality known as mística. Participants …আরও
19.09.2006 THE VATICAN NOTE ON NOSTRA AETATE INTERPRETS VATICAN COUNCIL II IRRATIONALLY AND NOT RATIONALLY AS DO THE SSPX AND SEDEVACANTISTS The Vatican’s Note on Nostra Aetate interprets Vatican Council II irrationally and not rationally. The Society of St. Pius X and the sedevacantists do the same. With Vatican Council II rational, we begin with Ad Gentes 7 which says all need faith and baptism for salvation. We then observe that hypothetical and invisible cases mentioned in Nostra Aetate are not objective exceptions for AG 7 or the Catechism of the Catholic Church (845, 846, and 1257). So Vatican Council II is saying that outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation. This is the pre and post Vatican Council II teaching. The Council and Catechism are Magisterial and Apostolic even, if the popos cited in this document are irrational, dishonest and political on this issue. –Lionel Andrades Note. A Journey of Hope. Neturei Karta, the ultra-Orthodox Jews who reject Zionism An ultra-Orthodox Jewish group, Neturei Karta, rejects Zionism and refuses to recognise the State of Israel while marching under the Palestinian flag. This documentary traces its story from early 20th-century Jewish opposition to Zionism to today’s street protests in Jerusalem and New York. Told through Neturei Karta’s own voices and critical historians, the film revisits the Balfour Declaration, the assassination of Jacob Israel de Haan, the Holocaust-era split that gave birth to the movement, and the group's marginal but defiant stance after Israel’s creation in 1948. Facing police crackdowns, death threats and isolation from mainstream Jewry, Neturei Karta has deepened its ties with Palestinians - from the streets of Mea She’arim in West Jerusalem to Yasser Arafat’s inner circle and solidarity with Gaza under blockade. Its story challenges assumptions about Judaism, Zionism and resistance in a region locked in conflict. Original …আরও

A bomb exploded outside the Greek Orthodox cathedral in Hama, Syria. The videos from the scene show the aftermath inside and outside St George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Hama after a bomb exploded on 13 September, on the eve of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The blast shattered windows and damaged the church and nearby cars, but no one was killed or injured. Syrian authorities opened an investigation. No group has claimed responsibility.
Last Sunday, there was another bomb attack on a church in Syria. This time, however, no one was killed or injured. Security camera footage shows a masked man placing the bomb underneath a car parked directly in front of the Greek Orthodox St. George’s Cathedral in Hama. The bomb exploded later that evening. September 14 (the day after the attack) is traditionally celebrated in the Greek Orthodox Church as the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross. There was no church service taking place in the cathedral at the time, which likely saved many lives. However, the church was damaged in the attack, and many windows were shattered by the explosion. Children were playing in the church courtyard nearby, but they too were unharmed. Nevertheless, the shock runs deep. Christians see the attack as a clear signal directed against them. Since the attack on St. Elias Church in Damascus last year, in which 22 Christians were killed, there have been repeated attacks and threats against Syria’s shrinking …আরও
A 32-year-old man faces a felony charge of making terroristic threats in connection with social media threats against the headquarters of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. In one post, the man allegedly said that God instructed him to kill “everyone who walks into that church.” “The safety and well-being of the men and women who serve the Church are of the utmost importance, and we pray for an end to the hatred and threats of violence that have become so regrettably prevalent on social media,” said Brecht Mulvihill, the archdiocese’s executive director of communications.

Leo XIV has not responded to an audience request for the Roman rite pilgrimage to Rome. The organisers of the pilgrimage “to the See of Peter” in late October requested a papal audience nine months ago, reports Edward Pentin on his Substack-Account. The request was made in a letter signed by two lay members of the organisation. It was personally delivered by Bishop Athanasius Schneider when he met Leo XIV last December. In the same letter, the organisers asked for permission to celebrate a Pontifical Mass at the Altar of the Chair in St Peter’s Basilica, as had happened several times in the past. After repeated pleas for a response, the Secretariat of State on 7 August declined permission for the Mass in St Peter’s Basilica. No reason was given for the decision. The Mass will instead be held at the Basilica of St Mary Major on 24 October. Bishop Athanasius Schneider will be the celebrant. Picture: summorum-pontificum.org, #newsWdcyeqmhus
Sorry, but it wasn't Rosie who destroyed family life. All she did was agree to take over the vital manufacturing jobs previously held by the men who went over to Europe to fight Hitler. It was the upper middle class housewives of the fifties and sixties and seventies who did the destroying.
“I was up until 4 a.m. last night crying, literally trying to think of ways to kill her and not go to jail....If I could literally kill her and not go to hell, I would do it in a heartbeat. That is how dark and how hateful I feel.” Former worship pastor and ‘American Idol’ alum Caleb Flynn texted his mistress more than 100,000 times in the year of his wife's death, revealing his dark fantasies about killing his wife, according to prosecutors during their opening statements.
The famous “blood miracle” of St. Januarius has occurred once again in Naples. At 10:04 a.m. today, the blood preserved in a vial liquefied as thousands of faithful gathered in Naples Cathedral erupted in applause. It is already the third occurrence this year. The blood first liquefied on May 2, during the annual celebration of the transfer of St. Januarius’ relics to Naples. It happened again just six days later, on May 8, during Pope Leo XIV’s visit, as he held the vial in his hands.

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 8,4-15. When a large crowd gathered, with people from one town after another journeying to Jesus, he spoke in a parable. A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path and was trampled, and the birds of the sky ate it up. Some seed fell on rocky ground, and when it grew, it withered for lack of moisture. Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew with it and choked it. And some seed fell on good soil, and when it grew, it produced fruit a hundredfold." After saying this, he called out, "Whoever has ears to hear ought to hear." Then his disciples asked him what the meaning of this parable might be. He answered, "Knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of God has been granted to you; but to the rest, they are made known through parables so that 'they may look but not see, and hear but not understand.' This is the meaning of the parable. The seed is the word of God. Those on the path are the ones who …আরও
আরও
TELLING YOUR PARTNER WHAT BOTHERS YOU IS NOT TOXIC. IT’S COMMUNICATION. It’s not toxic to say, “This hurt me.” It’s not toxic to say, “This made me uncomfortable.” It’s not toxic to express that something made you feel insecure or that you need to understand what is happening. When you love someone, you don’t only experience the beautiful moments, the hugs, and the “I love yous.” You also need to be able to talk about the things that hurt. Because a healthy relationship shouldn’t force you to stay silent just to avoid an argument. Talking about how you feel isn’t creating problems. It’s trying to solve them. What is truly dangerous is starting to swallow everything. Staying quiet because you’re afraid they’ll get angry. Keeping your doubts to yourself because you don’t want to seem “too intense.” Smiling when something hurt you, so you don’t make things uncomfortable. Saying, “It’s nothing,” when deep down you know perfectly well that it is something. Because every emotion you hide …আরও
Venice Patriarch Francesco Moraglia supports a proposed mosque for the Muslim/Bangladeshi community in Venice. The Venice city administration, led by Mayor Simone Venturini, had not approved the proposed mosque in August. On September 15, Patriarch Moraglia expressed support for Muslims having a place of worship: “If a religion respects human dignity and the most vulnerable, then it has the right to have a place of worship.”
