Vatican Rejected Medjugorje - Francis "Approved" it Anyway

On 6 August, Italian journalist David Murgia published the results of a confidential 2016 consultation within the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith concerning the alleged apparitions at Medjugorje on IlSegnoDiGiona.com.
Two Thirds of the Congregation Said Medjugorje was NOT Supernatural
According to Murgia, 33 participants were asked to provide written opinions, or 'vota', on the Medjugorje phenomenon.
Murgia reports the following results (17 September 2016):
21 participants chose 'constat de non supernaturalitate' (not of supernatural origin).
9 participants chose 'constat de supernaturalitate' (supernatural origin).
3 chose 'non constat de supernaturalitate' (the supernatural character has not been established).
This corresponds to approximately 63.6 per cent for 'not supernatural', while only nine voted in favour.
Ruini Commission, 2010-2014
This voting followed the work of the International Commission of Inquiry on Medjugorje, commonly known as the Ruini Commission.

Leo XIV-Appointed Bishop Ends Diocese’s Only Latin Mass After 20 Years

Bishop Mark A. Eckman, 67, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, will bring an end to the traditional Latin Mass at St. Titus Church in Aliquippa after nearly 20-years.
Bishop Eckman was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Pittsburgh in 2021. In June 2025, Leo XIV promoted him to Bishop of Pittsburgh.
In a letter dated 7 August (see below), Monsignor Eckman announced that the final Mass to be held at St. Titus using the 1962 Missal is scheduled for 4 September.
The remaining two traditional Latin Masses in Pittsburgh are offered by the Institute Christ the King in Brighton Heights and by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X in the West End.
Bishop Eckman said his predecessor, Bishop David A. Zubik, received Vatican permission in 2022 to continue the Mass at St. Titus. The initial two-year authorization was extended in September 2024 for another two years.
The Bishop didn't seek another extension, “The permission to celebrate according to the older ritual in a parish church was only ever meant to be …Makîria

Rome Cardinal Cancels Funeral of Prominent Freemason

Cardinal Baldassarre Reina, Vicar General for the Diocese of Rome, refused permission for the Catholic funeral of Bruno Battisti D’Amario, a guitarist and senior figure in Italian freemasonry.
D’Amario, who died on August 5 aged 88, was known for his collaboration with Ennio Morricone and played guitar on famous soundtracks including A Fistful of Dollars, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and Once Upon a Time in the West.
His funeral had initially been approved at Santa Maria in Montesanto, Rome’s “Church of the Artists.”
After his death, however, the Grand Orient of Italy revealed that D’Amario had held significant roles within freemasonry. He had founded a Roman lodge, composed the organization’s official anthem, and held several senior positions.
Church officials had allegedly been unaware of his Masonic involvement when approving the funeral.
After the information emerged, the basilica’s rector, Archbishop Antonio Staglianò, referred the matter to Cardinal Reina. Following consultation …Makîria

Grandmother Euthanized by Canadian Government Without Consent - Slay News

An 83-year-old Canadian grandmother was killed by lethal injection under the globalist Canadian government’s rapidly expanding euthanasia program after she had previously rejected “assisted suicide” because it violated her Christian faith, according to her devastated family. Brigitte Stegemann died July 10 at The Pearl long-term care facility in Belleville, Ontario, under Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) system. Her family says Stegemann was cognitively vulnerable, severely hearing-impaired, frequently lethargic, and gave incorrect answers to basic questions during the assessment used to declare her capable of consenting to her own death. Even more disturbing, her relatives say Stegemann never gave the promised final verbal confirmation immediately before the lethal drugs were administered. She simply remained silent. The procedure went ahead anyway. The family is now accusing the system of “clinical arrogance,” secrecy, and a catastrophic failure of safeguards designed to …

Angola: Catholics Ask Pope for a ‘White Bishop’

An unusual controversy has erupted in the Church in Angola after an anonymous letter sent to the Apostolic Nunciature in Luanda called for the next bishop of Mbanza Kongo to be white, reports the Substack.com-account The Pillar (August 7).
The authors argue that the historic diocese has not developed sufficiently under its three Angolan bishops, while insisting the request is not racially motivated. The Diocese of Mbanza Kongo has rejected the suggestion that the letter represents its faithful.
Angolan Catholic commentator Paulo Viana believes the dispute may actually be about dissatisfaction with Bishop Vicente Carlos Kiaziku, whose health problems have kept him away for extended periods, and the battle over his eventual successor.
Viana suggests the letter could be intended to derail the possible appointment of Bishop António Lungieki Bengui, auxiliary bishop of Luanda.
The controversy is especially striking in Mbanza Kongo, the cradle of Christianity in Angola and home of Henrique of …Makîria

“They Want to Kill Me on Friday?” - Great-Grandmother Euthanized in Canada

Brigitte Stegemann was an 83-year-old great-grandmother and a Christian. On July 10, she died through Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) program in Ontario.
Diagnosed with terminal Stage IV stomach cancer, Stegemann had wanted to die naturally. But while her granddaughter and longtime legal representative, Brigitte Kranendonk, was away on vacation, medical personnel discussed MAiD with Stegemann.
She was subsequently deemed capable of choosing MAiD despite allegedly being unable to answer basic questions about her own family. Canadian Catholic News reported that Kranendonk said her grandmother had originally rejected MAiD but was persuaded to request it during her absence.
When Kranendonk returned and asked her grandmother whether she really wanted to die, Stegemann’s reaction was heartbreaking. “I’m supposed to die on Friday? They want to kill me on Friday?”, she reportedly asked through tears.
Her family says she later repeatedly expressed regret, telling them she had made a …Makîria

Mexican Bishop Hops Left and Right Before the Altar: Bishop José Leopoldo González González, 71, of San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico, hopped and danced in liturgical vestments, including his mitre, during Emaús 2026. The diocesan gathering brought together more than 5,000 young Catholics on 23–24 May in San Miguel el Alto, Jalisco. González explained that a young man had told him the dance was simple—“one step to the right and another to the left” - and joked that he had “fallen into the trap.”

During Emaús 2026 in San Miguel el Alto, Bishop José Leopoldo González González drew attention for his energetic participation with young people during the activities and Mass.

Bishop Strickland : How were they to reconcile Pius X warnings against modernism with V2's desire for greater engagement with contemporary society?

Bishop Strickland about modernism within the Church of Leo XIV
My dear friends in Christ,
Thank you for joining me today.
There are some words that once occupied a central place in the life of the Catholic Church but are now seldom heard, and I want to talk about one of those words today. The word is “modernism.”
Ask the average Catholic today what modernism is, and many will not know how to answer. Ask when they last heard a sermon about it, and many would say, “Never.”
Yet there was a time when the Church regarded modernism as such a grave danger that Pope St. Pius X devoted an entire encyclical to exposing it. In 1907, in Pascendi Dominici Gregis, he called modernism “the synthesis of all heresies.” Those are extraordinary words. Popes do not use language like that lightly.
If St. Pius X believed modernism was the synthesis of all heresies, then a question naturally follows: What happened?
Did modernism simply disappear? Or have we reached a point where the Church’s own warnings …Makîria

Leo XIV' New Consultors for Dicastery for Religious Life Are Liberal, Synodal "Reformers"

On August 6, Pope Leo XIV appointed 15 new consultors to the Dicastery for Religious, headed by Prefect Sr Simona Brambilla. The new consultors comprise two bishops (Alfonso Vincenzo Amarante and Kevin Otieno Mwandha), five priests, including one abbot (Ignasi Fossas, Damián Astigueta, Maurizio Bevilacqua, Benjamin Earl and Flavien Mambueni), two religious brothers (Antoine Kazindu and Emili Turú), and six religious sisters (Chiara Lorenzato, Maria Nirmalini, María Rosaura González Casas, Mary Lembo, Patricia Murray and Maria do Disterro Rocha Santos).
Leo XIV has again appointed liberal, synodal figures, illustrated by these four personnel choices.
Less Uniformity in Liturgy, More Creativity
Indian Sister Maria Nirmalini, A.C. was a member of the Synod on Synodality (2023) and hoped for “liturgical reform, particularly of the Mass with less emphasis on uniformity and more on creativity.”
In the same VaticanNews.va interview she demanded “inclusion of women in all leadership/decision …Makîria

Sadly, most Catholics are now "Conciliar Catholics." And since Conciliarism is an ever-evolving religion its tenets are constantly being updated.
But make no mistake, Conciliarism is Satanically driven and Satan's ultimate goal is to destroy the Catholic Church. Faithful Catholics know that will never happen, but the authentic Catholic Church will suffer greatly as Rome moves further away from the truth through Synodality.
And while the role of the SSPX is still unclear to many, all should recognize that it is the only priestly organization celebrating the TLM that adheres exclusively to the authentic teachings that pre-dated Vatican II.
The most revealing clue as to its legitimacy, however, is that the SSPX is the only priestly organization that the Conciliarists in Rome regularly attack and work to destroy.
There are relatively few Catholics who assist at the SSPX Masses, but as Jesus told us, when He returns He expects to find very few who have not loss their faith.

Called By Name: Fr. Patrick Suh on Mobilizing Parishes for Priestly Vocations
"If vocations depend just on me, we're never going to get any." Fr. Patrick Suh joins CatholicTV to share how the Archdiocese of Newark invited parishioners to actively call forth future priests. How do we cultivate a culture of vocations in our local parishes? Fr. Patrick Suh, Vocation Director for the Archdiocese of Newark, sits down with CatholicTV's Jimmy Reynolds to discuss the success of the Called By Name campaign. Fr. Suh shares the providential origins of the initiative—prompted by Cardinal Joseph Tobin—and explains how it launched on Good Shepherd Sunday. Rather than leaving vocation efforts solely to the diocesan office, the campaign empowered families, friends, and fellow parishioners to identify young men in their pews who possess the qualities of a good shepherd. With over 500 unique nominations submitted, Fr. Suh details the next steps: personal invitation letters from the Cardinal, St. Andrew's …Makîria
