Organizers began preparations before dawn out of concern that radical settlers might interfere with or damage festival infrastructure before the event. However, the disruption came from Israeli military forces. At approximately 8 a.m., an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) vehicle entered the area and announced that organizers were required to cease all setup activities and leave the street.
