Leo XIV accepts a green glass “Sphere of Humanity”. On 2 September, during his General Audience at the Vatican, Leo XIV received the “Sphere of Humanity” from the U.S.-based Saint Peter for Humanity foundation. Hand-blown by Venini in Murano, the large green glass sphere symbolizes humanity as unique, fragile and irreplaceable and contains four handwritten passages from the encyclical “Magnifica Humanitas.” The gift makes its case for human craftsmanship in the age of AI — perhaps not as intended. #newsApklrbhqar

CENTCOM puts price tag on Iran war Nearly two-thirds of the $43.6 billion bill is expected to go toward replenishing depleted munitions stockpiles Published 19 Sep, 2026 01:43 | Updated 19 Sep, 2026 05:35 The war with Iran has cost the US $43.6 billion, with nearly two-thirds of the bill going toward replenishing depleted munitions stockpiles, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM) figures sent to lawmakers and shared with the media on Friday. The estimate covers costs through September 3. The Pentagon allocated around $11.2 billion for military operations and projected that another $28.1 billion would be needed to replace expended munitions. A further $4.3 billion was allocated for replacing equipment losses. The $43.6 billion figure does not include the likely billions of dollars needed to repair US bases and other military facilities in the region damaged or destroyed by Iranian attacks, according to Bloomberg. Iran damaged or destroyed hundreds of buildings and other structures …ਹੋਰ
I am sure it's much higher. There were several ships that were destroyed or badly damaged they are not mentioning. And dozens of aircraft also not mentioned.
A bomb exploded outside the Greek Orthodox cathedral in Hama, Syria. The videos from the scene show the aftermath inside and outside St George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Hama after a bomb exploded on 13 September, on the eve of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The blast shattered windows and damaged the church and nearby cars, but no one was killed or injured. Syrian authorities opened an investigation. No group has claimed responsibility.
Last Sunday, there was another bomb attack on a church in Syria. This time, however, no one was killed or injured. Security camera footage shows a masked man placing the bomb underneath a car parked directly in front of the Greek Orthodox St. George’s Cathedral in Hama. The bomb exploded later that evening. September 14 (the day after the attack) is traditionally celebrated in the Greek Orthodox Church as the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross. There was no church service taking place in the cathedral at the time, which likely saved many lives. However, the church was damaged in the attack, and many windows were shattered by the explosion. Children were playing in the church courtyard nearby, but they too were unharmed. Nevertheless, the shock runs deep. Christians see the attack as a clear signal directed against them. Since the attack on St. Elias Church in Damascus last year, in which 22 Christians were killed, there have been repeated attacks and threats against Syria’s shrinking …ਹੋਰ
Leo XIV has not responded to an audience request for the Roman rite pilgrimage to Rome. The organisers of the pilgrimage “to the See of Peter” in late October requested a papal audience nine months ago, reports Edward Pentin on his Substack-Account. The request was made in a letter signed by two lay members of the organisation. It was personally delivered by Bishop Athanasius Schneider when he met Leo XIV last December. In the same letter, the organisers asked for permission to celebrate a Pontifical Mass at the Altar of the Chair in St Peter’s Basilica, as had happened several times in the past. After repeated pleas for a response, the Secretariat of State on 7 August declined permission for the Mass in St Peter’s Basilica. No reason was given for the decision. The Mass will instead be held at the Basilica of St Mary Major on 24 October. Bishop Athanasius Schneider will be the celebrant. Picture: summorum-pontificum.org, #newsWdcyeqmhus

19.09.2006 THE VATICAN NOTE ON NOSTRA AETATE INTERPRETS VATICAN COUNCIL II IRRATIONALLY AND NOT RATIONALLY AS DO THE SSPX AND SEDEVACANTISTS The Vatican’s Note on Nostra Aetate interprets Vatican Council II irrationally and not rationally. The Society of St. Pius X and the sedevacantists do the same. With Vatican Council II rational, we begin with Ad Gentes 7 which says all need faith and baptism for salvation. We then observe that hypothetical and invisible cases mentioned in Nostra Aetate are not objective exceptions for AG 7 or the Catechism of the Catholic Church (845, 846, and 1257). So Vatican Council II is saying that outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation. This is the pre and post Vatican Council II teaching. The Council and Catechism are Magisterial and Apostolic even, if the popos cited in this document are irrational, dishonest and political on this issue. –Lionel Andrades Note. A Journey of Hope. The famous “blood miracle” of St. Januarius has occurred once again in Naples. At 10:04 a.m. today, the blood preserved in a vial liquefied as thousands of faithful gathered in Naples Cathedral erupted in applause. It is already the third occurrence this year. The blood first liquefied on May 2, during the annual celebration of the transfer of St. Januarius’ relics to Naples. It happened again just six days later, on May 8, during Pope Leo XIV’s visit, as he held the vial in his hands.

The TSJA upholds a Catholic school in Granada's decision not to teach Islamic religious education. The specific ethos of a state-subsidized Catholic school takes precedence over a request by parents for their daughter to receive Islamic religious instruction there.
El TSJA avala que un colegio católico de Granada no imparta religión islámica. El carácter propio de un centro concertado católico prevalece sobre la petición de unos padres de que su hija reciba allí clases de religión islámica. hmtv

"There are two signs of the law handed down and known to men: circumcision in the time of the fathers of the Old Testament and baptism in the time of the teachers of the New Testament. With these two, humanity is tied to the yoke like the ox yoked to the plough. Although the ox is driven forward with the goad, it would pull crooked furrows if it were not tied to the yoke. Similarly men and women will not walk my ways (l unless they are tied to the yoke of the signs of the law."
Argentina’s bishops include “Prefer not to say” as a third option under “Sex” on the volunteer form for Leo XIV’s visit. Ahead of Pope Leo XIV’s November visit to Argentina, the Argentine bishops' conference has opened registration for volunteers. Its official form asks applicants for their “sex” but, alongside male and female, offers a third choice: “Prefer not to say.”

Neturei Karta, the ultra-Orthodox Jews who reject Zionism An ultra-Orthodox Jewish group, Neturei Karta, rejects Zionism and refuses to recognise the State of Israel while marching under the Palestinian flag. This documentary traces its story from early 20th-century Jewish opposition to Zionism to today’s street protests in Jerusalem and New York. Told through Neturei Karta’s own voices and critical historians, the film revisits the Balfour Declaration, the assassination of Jacob Israel de Haan, the Holocaust-era split that gave birth to the movement, and the group's marginal but defiant stance after Israel’s creation in 1948. Facing police crackdowns, death threats and isolation from mainstream Jewry, Neturei Karta has deepened its ties with Palestinians - from the streets of Mea She’arim in West Jerusalem to Yasser Arafat’s inner circle and solidarity with Gaza under blockade. Its story challenges assumptions about Judaism, Zionism and resistance in a region locked in conflict. Original …ਹੋਰ

A 32-year-old man faces a felony charge of making terroristic threats in connection with social media threats against the headquarters of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. In one post, the man allegedly said that God instructed him to kill “everyone who walks into that church.” “The safety and well-being of the men and women who serve the Church are of the utmost importance, and we pray for an end to the hatred and threats of violence that have become so regrettably prevalent on social media,” said Brecht Mulvihill, the archdiocese’s executive director of communications.
Leo XIV has named another LGBT-inclusive bishop to lead a diocese of 670,000 Catholics. Bishop Michael Saporito, who served under Cardinal Joseph Tobin, led a parish that welcomed gay Catholics and their families. He also participated in private dialogues with LGBT Catholics, saying he “felt enriched by the exchange of personal stories.”
“I was up until 4 a.m. last night crying, literally trying to think of ways to kill her and not go to jail....If I could literally kill her and not go to hell, I would do it in a heartbeat. That is how dark and how hateful I feel.” Former worship pastor and ‘American Idol’ alum Caleb Flynn texted his mistress more than 100,000 times in the year of his wife's death, revealing his dark fantasies about killing his wife, according to prosecutors during their opening statements.
