First EVER Roman Rite Mass in the Cathedral of Mendi: On May 28, Bishop Donald Lippert, 68, of Mendi, Papua New Guinea, was present at the first Roman Rite Mass ever offered in his cathedral. The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Joseph Tuscan, OFM Cap. (USA), with Fr. Terence Mary Naughtin, OFM Conv. (Australia) as deacon, and Fr. Clement Tarmat, OFM Cap. (Papua New Guinea) as subdeacon. The cathedral was built in 1989.

Altar no longer an altar but a table: During a recent interview on the Philippines, Bishop Athanasius Schneider noted that since Vatican II, the Church has put man at the center of the liturgy and Christ at the corner. "This is so anthropocentric, and the manner of celebrating Holy Mass facing the people is like a closed circle … the altar is no longer an altar. It is a table, and the center is the priest, not Christ."
Schneider on May 20 on the Philippines: "The altar is no more altar. It is a table."

Four intruders vandalised the parish church of San Paolo della Croce in Rome's Portuense-Corviale district on Wednesday afternoon before being stopped by the assistant priest. The Diocese of Rome said damage included oil overturned onto the altar, staining the liturgical cloth; pen markings on the same cloth; the glass of a small Madonna image smashed; catechism rooms defaced; and human excrement left on bathroom floors. The group slipped in while the church was largely empty. They fled after the assistant priest heard suspicious noises and confronted them. Police spent several hours collecting forensic evidence. The church remained closed for the rest of the afternoon. No arrests have been announced. Auxiliary Bishop Stefano Sparapani described the episode as "an obvious expression of youth disaffection." The Diocese stated that Rev Giacobbe Elia, who described the attack as premeditated and spiritually motivated, is neither incardinated in the Diocese of Rome nor serves as a diocesan …Aswan
So, according to the diocese, only a few lads letting off steam, the REAL problem being that pesky priest who has the courage to live in the real world instead of on a comforting VII cloud, and who had the Chutzpah to have expected better from the dear, misunderstood boys. So move on, people--no anti-Catholicism or hatred of western culture to see here. (Then again, maybe the boys were just art lovers who thought churches shouldn't look like supermarkets.)
Fri May 29, 2026 - 10:49 am EDT (Vulnerable People Project) — The Vulnerable People Project (VPP), which supports and advocates for vulnerable Christian communities throughout the Holy Land, reports that preparations for today’s Marian Festival were disrupted by Israeli military activity early this morning. Organizers began preparations before dawn out of concern that radical settlers might interfere with or damage festival infrastructure before the event. However, the disruption came from Israeli military forces. At approximately 8 a.m., an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) vehicle entered the area and announced that organizers were required to cease all setup activities and leave the street. Shortly afterward, soldiers deployed a stun grenade in the vicinity. Approximately 30 minutes later, a second IDF military vehicle arrived and repeated the order, instructing organizers to halt preparations and leave the area. Following these incidents, organizers and local residents observed what …
“Your Holiness, is that really you?” Rev. Diego Semeraro, 81, collapsed from the heat during Wednesday’s General Audience while waiting to greet Leo XIV. The Pope noticed what had happened, stepped down from the platform, knelt beside the priest, and personally came to his aid. When Rev. Diego realized who was helping him, he reportedly exclaimed, “Your Holiness, is that really you?” Pope Leo later gave him a rosary and his blessing. He recovered well and was able to celebrate the Eucharist later that day.

"The Church continues to reproduce this sacrifice in the sacrament of the altar so well-known to believers wherein it is evident to them that in what she offers she herself is offered." St. Augustine, De civitate Dei
Bishop Strickland: Pope Leo XIV’s new encyclical centers on a theology of man, not God. Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, As a successor of the apostles, I have a solemn duty not only to preach the Gospel, but also to help the faithful discern the spirits of the age in the light of the unchanging truth entrusted to the Church by Our Lord Jesus Christ. St. Paul exhorted Timothy to “preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine” (2 Tim. 4:2). That duty belongs to every bishop charged with guarding the deposit of faith. Therefore, I feel it is important to address concerns regarding the recently released encyclical letter, Magnifica Humanitas, of the Holy Father Leo XIV. Some have found parts of it insightful and compelling. Others have experienced a deep uneasiness while reading it – a concern that, beneath many true statements, the document reflects a broader theological shift that risks placing man at the center in a …Aswan
On 28 May, Leo XIV received Mayor Brandon Johnson, the Democrat mayor of Chicago. He is a far-left Protestant and a militant activist for abortion and homosexuality. Johnson described meeting the Pope as "one of the most awe-inspiring and humbling experiences of my life". The photograph shows the Chicago delegation surrounding Pope Leo XIV and 'praying' together. Johnson described the scene as a "multi-faith prayer". According to Johnson, they discussed illegal immigration, the war in Iran, and reparations for slavery. Notably absent from the conversation was any mention of abortion or gender ideology. Johnson said that Leo XIV had asked him about the deportation of illegal immigrants and encouraged him to continue protecting them. Bloody background: Johnson is known for pledging to provide free abortion pills, vowing to prosecute pro-life sidewalk counsellors and that he has proclaimed Chicago "a sanctuary" for abortion. Pope Leo XIV is the earthly leader of the Catholic Church. Sadly, however, he professes Conciliarism, not Catholicism. No one, therefore, should be surprised that he behaves like a Protestant. Even though he is the Pope he greatly displeases God and will one day answer to Him for how he led the Catholic Church.

Bishop Joseph Strickland criticizes on PillarsOfFaith.net (May 25) Leo XIV's new encyclical on AI. He argues that it subtly shifts Catholic theology from God-centeredness to man-centeredness. The core charge: "the deepest concern is not that the document says false things about humanity, but that it reorders the hierarchy of truths by placing humanity, human flourishing, human dignity, and human relationships at the center." The encyclical speaks repeatedly of "human solidarity, human fraternity, human communion, human participation," while the glory of God, sin, redemption, the Cross, and the salvation of souls appear secondary. The document addresses "technocracy, war, economic injustice, manipulation, algorithmic control, social fragmentation, and dehumanization," but says comparatively little about "original sin, concupiscence, personal repentance, moral culpability, judgment, hell, penance, or the eternal destiny of the soul." A central criticism is that evil is treated primarily …Aswan
The homosexual activist and apostate Robert Prevost, alias Leo XIV, expels Christ from His own Church. Saint Paul points out that sodomites are idolaters, and that those who promote sodomy are sodomites. Whichever way we examine it, we can confirm that—in addition to those we know to be homosexuals (Tucho, Cobo, and Paglia)—their accomplices are as well. The profanation of the House of God is an unequivocal sign that a priest has expelled the Holy Spirit from his own body by committing the sin of fornication. For the priest who profanes his own body—having turned it into a den of demons—worships the demon he serves and wages war against God by profaning His Temple.
Catholic Blogs Criticize Leo XIV’s Episcopal Appointment: American Catholic blogs have criticised Leo XIV’s appointment of Monsignor Kenneth Thorson as Bishop of Prince Albert, Canada. Monsignor Thorson believes that past Catholic missionary work among Indigenous peoples was harmful. He emphasizes accompaniment and dialogue over conversion and seeks to learn from Indigenous spiritual traditions. Furthermroe, he has supported the inclusion of Indigenous purification rituals ("smudging") in Eucharists.
Leo Appoints Bishop Who Says Catholicism Is Not Superior
Another paving stone for the streets of hell has now been added -- pray for the conversion of this poor blind cleric - and all the apostates in the episcopacy. They will not be all smiles and vapid grins when they have to give an account of their deeds to the BOSS - Our Divine Lord and Saviour - Jesus Christ!
Is this really Catholic faith of our Fathers ? This type of bishop went to a gay seminary and then we expect them to be catholic after a formation of modernistic, hidden hedonistic anti Christ training then we wait for them to allow TLM. This cabal of religious Jeffery Epstein's are killing the true faith.

US Archbishop Defies Traditionis Custodes: Yesterday morning, Archbishop Thomas Wenski of Miami, USA, ordained 12 new priests for the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP) in the Cathedral in Omaha, Nebraska. Traditionis Custodes prohibits both the use of the Pontificale Romanum and the use of parish churches without Vatican approval. Archbishop Wenski is well known for his love of motorcycles and his annual Archbishop's Motorcycle Ride.
Priestly ordinations for FSSP seminarians took place yesterday morning at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha, Nebraska, and were celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Thomas Wenski of the Archdiocese of Miami.
The headline reads...Bishop "defies." Anytime a Bishop does something really Catholic these days it is considered defying Church authority. I am grateful this Bishop is taking seriously his divine commission to advance the Faith.
– Folha de S. Paulo, March 29, 1970 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira My article on the “Right to know,” which informed readers about the stance of key Catholic groups toward the new Mass text, drew sharp criticism. Ironically, these criticisms came from Catholic circles passionately enthusiastic about ecumenism. Having heard that charity begins at home, I don’t understand how people can be so ecumenical toward those outside the Church and yet be aggressive toward those inside. That is my main point about these brief articles. As for their content, they are so insignificant that I probably won’t bother with them any further. As a reward for these trivial and unpleasant matters, I received a thoughtful and well-informed letter from a reader, Mr. Carlos Ribeiro, whose debating skills are comparable to Cyrano’s swordsmanship. I want to read it again myself to fully understand its content. Meanwhile, I share it with my readers. Professor Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira. In the February issue of …Aswan
