French Church Vandalised, Nothing Stolen: On 5 July, Saint-Étienne Church in Mulhouse, eastern France, was vandalised. A man entered the church, went straight to the sanctuary, removed the cross from the altar and threw it to the floor. He then knocked over a vase and used the cross to force open the doors of three confessionals, some dating back to the early 19th century. Nothing was stolen; the damage was confined to religious furnishings and symbols.

Un homme est entré dans l’édifice vide, a jeté au sol la croix de l’autel, renversé un vase, puis utilisé la croix pour fracturer les portes de trois confessionnaux, dont certains datent du début du XIXᵉ siècle.

6 Lessons from the 600,000

– Folha de S. Paulo, August 7, 1968 –
by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
Aggiornamento” and “encounter with history” are expressions we run into all the time, but whose concept remains obscure more often than not. However, one core idea is always clear within this obscurity: being “up to date.”
A self-respecting “up-to-date” person thinks they know present-day reality and are in sync with it. The “encounter with history” is an encounter with the present, particularly what the present offers that is different and contradictory to the past.
For the fanatics of “aggiornamento” and “encounter with history,” the word “tradition” gets a bad rap. For conscious or unconscious evolutionists, nature has no fixed and immutable elements, nor does the natural order rest on perennial principles.
The present’s position concerning the past is not one of dynamic and improving continuity, but complete negation, all-encompassing rupture, and integral and renewing demolition. So, it is understandable that for …Has köp

Unlocking Catholic Social Teaching: Dr. Martinez Introduces the Ave Maria Economics Course
"God did not call us from the eyebrows down—He wants us to use our brains." Dr. Gabriel Martinez joins us to shatter the myth of the 'divided life' in business and economics. Every financial, corporate, or political decision we make isn't just a technical choice—it's a deeply human, moral decision. Dr. Gabriel Martinez, economics professor at Ave Maria University, steps into the living room to introduce a groundbreaking, completely free online resource: the Ave Maria Economics Course, hosted by The Pursuit of Wisdom. Condensing three full semesters of dense academic material into seven clear, highly accessible lectures, Dr. Martinez bridges the gap between modern market principles and the foundational pillars of Catholic Social Teaching. He unpacks why popular political ideologies often distort Church teaching by overemphasizing one truth (like human dignity or solidarity) while completely abandoning …Has köp

Oslo Bishop Responds to FSSPX Consecrations: "I Will Expand the Roman Rite in the Diocese"

Bishop Fredrik Hansen of Oslo, Norway, issued a July 3 statement following the episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX).
He said the two consecrating bishops and the four newly consecrated bishops had removed themselves from ecclesial communion and unity with the Pope: “This is sad, painful, and calls us to prayer and penance.” He urged Catholics to pray the Rosary for the unity of the Church on the Feast of Saint Sunniva, July 8.
Monsignor Hansen repeated Cardinal Tucho Fernández’s explanation that the consecrations were a schismatic act and that the priests “can no longer validly grant absolution in the sacrament of confession.”
He also urged Catholics to refrain from attending FSSPX Masses and other activities.
Addressing FSSPX faithful directly, he wrote: “I understand that these are difficult and distressing days for you. You may find yourselves pulled in different directions, and perhaps stand bewildered before all that has now come to pass.”

Priest from excommunicated sect says future pope will reverse Vatican move
This whole excommunication things is appearing more and more to be one huge joke, I know no one taking this matter seriously.
Where is Pope St Pius X when you need him?

Luke Nutley

Did the 12 Apostles have to put up with this Vatican bureaucracy tit a tat? No. Why? Because Christ our Savior was their be all and end all. I doubt there are 4 priests today who could believe and declare Jesus Christ as their be all and end. They are too fretted with their standing and how they appear to others instead of Christ.
It is sickening.

Leo XIV's October Synod about Accompaniment of the Divorced

Today, the General Secretariat of the Synod issued the preparatory framework for the October 7–14 meeting on the implementation of Amoris Laetitia between Pope Leo XIV and the presidents of the bishops' conferences. The gathering marks the tenth anniversary of Amoris Laetitia.
The format is described as "synodal," involving a process of listening, prayer, and discernment. The aim is "to discern the direction in which the Holy Spirit is leading us today."
The five discussion themes are:
• Families today: reality, beauty and challenges
• Young people and the discovery of the vocation to marriage (including cohabiting couples)
• Married life: the first years of marriage—a decisive time
• In the difficulties of life: accompanying and supporting
• Christian families as subjects of the Church's mission
The fourth theme speaks of “failure” and the “gap between the ideal and reality.” It says those who “have experienced separation and divorce” should feel listened to, involved, and co-responsible …Has köp

On Camera: Cardinal Radcliffe's False Claims About Homosexual Eucharist

Cardinal Timothy Radcliffe spoke to AdVaticanum.com on July 4 about his participation in a London Eucharist at Holy Apostles Church including a liturgical blessing for a homosexual couple.
The interview is obvious gaslighting, not to say blatant lying, given that the livestream had been published on YouTube.
The event was held on June 13 to mark the 50-year homosexual partnership of Julian Filochowski and Martin Pendergast, two longstanding figures in "pastoral outreach" to homosexual Catholics. The principal celebrant was Fr. Jim O'Keefe, with concelebrants including Bishop John Crowley, emeritus of Middlesbrough, and Bishop John Rawsthorne, emeritus of Hallam.
"I gave no blessing to anyone"
Cardinal Radcliffe claimed: "I gave no blessing to anyone and had not been aware that any blessings would be given."
However, the picture above shows him making the sign of the cross during the blessing of the two homosexuals standing side by side like a married couple. The text was based on a …Has köp

US Archbishop: “I Met Sincere Catholics and Strong Families within FSSPX”

Archbishop Bernard Hebda of Saint Paul and Minneapolis wrote on July 2 about the episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX):
"In the ten years that I have led this local Church, I have met many sincere people who worship regularly or occasionally at the chapels of the SSPX within the territory of our Archdiocese. I have been impressed by the strength of their families and their commitment to traditional Catholic values."
He acknowledges that the FSSPX bishops’ excommunication will affect them in a particular way and hopes they will not follow them “in separating themselves from Pope Leo XIV.”
Monsignor Hebda also noted that the Traditional Latin Mass is celebrated at six locations in the Archdiocese, adding: “I am confident that those who prefer the Traditional Latin Mass could find a home here.”

A Papal Handshake, a Cathedral Fire, and a Murder: On July 4 in Lampedusa, Leo XIV shook the hands of 20 illegal immigrants who had just arrived in Europe. He reminded everyone that all human life carries immeasurable worth. One of his predecessor’s handshakes later took on a dark meaning. In 2016, Pope Francis shook hands with Rwandan national Emmanuel Abayisenga. In 2020, Abayisenga set fire to the 15th-century Nantes cathedral in France. In 2021, he murdered the priest who had taken him in and sheltered him after the fire.

Papst Leo schüttelte bei seinem Besuch auf Lampedusa am 4. Juli jedem dieser 20 Migranten, die gerade in Europa angekommen waren, die Hand.

Synodality Destroys Ecclesiastical Authority

On June 26, Leo XIV told an “extraordinary consistory” of cardinals that they “are called to be builders of Christ’s communion, a communion that takes shape in a synodal Church.” [1] The construction of the Synodal Church, which accompanies the building of a new society called variously the “city of God,” the “new Jerusalem,” and the “civilization of love,” was a central theme of his recent “encyclical letter” Magnifica Humanitas. Leo told the cardinals that during the consistory they would “explore Magnifica Humanitas in greater depth, examining the contribution that the Church can make to building up the common good,” which “(f)or the church takes on a very specific form: a synodal style at the service of the mission of the Kingdom.” Leo explained that: Synodality is not, first and foremost, a set of procedures; as I have said on several occasions, synodality is an attitude, an openness, a willingness to understand. He acknowledged that: At times it has been interpreted as a …
