Israel’s Widest Demolition Wave in Months: Israeli forces carried out demolitions across several West Bank communities, affecting homes, businesses, and farms. Near Anza, south of Jenin, owners of three buildings with 18 shops and two apartments were given 40 minutes to evacuate before demolition. Israel says the demolitions target unpermitted construction, while humanitarian groups say Palestinians in Area C are rarely granted building permits. Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz also announced more home demolitions, weapons confiscations, and work permit revocations. Palestinian officials say 341 demolition operations in the first half of 2026 destroyed about 740 structures and affected 923 Palestinians.

🚨ALERT — Israel’s Widest Demolition Wave in Months: Dozens of Palestinian Families Given 40 Minutes to Leave Their Homes Location: West Bank — Jenin, Nablus, Bethlehem, Jerusalem areas Date: July 27, 2026 Source: VPP Over the past 24 hours, Israeli forces have carried out one of the widest demolition and displacement campaigns the West Bank has seen in months — striking homes, shops, farm structures, and even a factory across multiple governorates, leaving dozens of Palestinian families suddenly homeless. Near the village of Anza, south of Jenin, Israeli forces gave the owners of three buildings — containing 18 shops and two residential apartments — just 40 minutes to evacuate before demolition, despite the case still being active in Israeli courts and an earlier legal stay having been granted. In Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, forces stormed the town and handed out ten demolition notices for homes and structures, including a poultry farm, while bulldozers reportedly moved in on olive trees …

Second German Archbishop Praises Homosexual Marches

Archbishop Stefan Heße of Hamburg has expressed his support for the 'Christopher Street Day' marches, describing them as "a visible sign that every person must be respected in their dignity".
Following last week's deadly attack at the march in Berlin, Monsignor Heße told KNA on 30 July that it was important not to be intimidated by hatred and violence. He added that homosexuals deserve respect, protection and "the freedom to live openly".
More homosexual marches are set to take place in Hamburg and Bonn on Saturday.
Following the attack, Archbishop Heiner Koch of Berlin had described the march as a "joyful and moving celebration".
At those marches, participants march partially or fully nude, wearing animal masks or sadomasochistic gear, openly displaying fetish culture, or staging other sexually perverted performance.

Archbishop Sample: FSSPX Has "Become Something Else" After Episcopal Consecrations

Conservative Archbishop Alexander K. Sample of Portland, Oregon attacked in an in-house interview on Youtube.com on July 28 the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX). Main quotes.
• "The FSSPX's recent consecration of bishops without a papal mandate takes the situation to a whole new level. They are now the second time bishops have been consecrated."
• "They see themselves as the faithful remnant, as though the rest of the Church is wrong and they alone are right. Folks, please don't be in that position."
• "I don't attribute any ill will to these folks. They're sincere in wanting to preserve tradition and be faithful Catholics. But they have in fact become something else now, especially in light of these recent consecrations."
• "They still mention the Pope in the Eucharistic Prayer, but it's just words. It's not a real communion. They give lip service."

26. “Those whom God has foreknown, He has also predestined to become conformed to the image of His divine Son...
And those whom He has predestined, He has also called; and those whom He has called He has also justified; and those whom He has justified He has also glorified. What then shall we say after that? If God is for us, who can be against us?... Who will separate me from the love of Christ?” (Rom 8:29-31, 35) This is how the mystery of predestination, the mystery of divine election appeared to the enlightened gaze of the Apostle. “Those whom He has foreknown.” Are not we of that number? Cannot God say to our soul what He once said through the voice of His prophet: “I passed by you and saw you. I saw that the time had come for you to be loved. I spread my garment over you. EU Court and Poland's Constitutional Tribunal Clash Over Homosex “Marriages”

Poland's Constitutional Tribunal has ruled that homosex “marriages” performed abroad cannot be entered into the country's civil registry. Doing so would violate Article 18 of the Polish Constitution, which defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
The July 28 ruling comes after a series of conflicting legal decisions.
In November 2025, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) held that Poland must recognize homosex marriages performed in other EU member states where necessary to protect EU free movement rights.
In March, Poland's Supreme Administrative Court applied that judgment, and the government began preparing regulations to implement it.
The Constitutional Tribunal has now reached the opposite conclusion, holding that foreign marriage certificates may only be transcribed if they meet the constitutional definition of marriage.
The court said any change would require an amendment to the Constitution and legislation passed by Parliament - not administrative action. …Okuninzi

In 1962, Brendon Grimshaw purchased Moyenne Island in the Seychelles for roughly $11,000. At the time, the small island was completely barren and uninhabited. Over the following decades, Grimshaw dedicated his life to restoring its ecosystem. He personally planted more than 16,000 trees, created walking trails, and reintroduced endangered species — most notably giant Aldabra tortoises — transforming the once-desolate island into a lush, thriving nature sanctuary.
Despite numerous offers from wealthy developers eager to turn the island into a luxury resort, Grimshaw consistently refused. He famously rejected a $50 million bid, determined to keep Moyenne Island as a protected natural haven open for people to enjoy rather than a private commercial venture.
In 2009, his vision was permanently secured when Moyenne Island was incorporated into the Sainte Anne Marine National Park, becoming the smallest national park in the world. Grimshaw lived on the island until his …Okuninzi

Washington Cardinal "Allows" Female Preaching - Report

Cardinal Robert McElroy of Washington D.C. authorised monthly lay "commentary" during the Eucharist at the Jesuit parish of Holy Trinity in Georgetown, according to BigModernism.Substack.com (July 28).
The blog published a letter dated 4 February 2026 and signed by Fr James Casciotti, SJ. The letter responds to concerns raised by a correspondent about the parish's liturgical practices.
Fr Casciotti addresses several issues, including chatting until just before the Eucharist.
The key passage states: "You should know that the Cardinal has given permission for lay commentary once a month at Holy Trinity [...]".
The letter does not identify the cardinal by name. In February 2026, Cardinal Robert McElroy was Archbishop of Washington, having been appointed in January 2025 and installed in March 2025.
Separately, the blog cites a firsthand account from a reader alleging that the practice involved a woman delivering what functioned as the homily during Mass under the name "commentary." According …Okuninzi

Private Masses During Spain's "Chartres" Pilgrimage: The picture shows the private Masses in the Roman Rite celebrated simultaneously by the priests attending the Pilgrimage to Covadonga, Spain last weekend. Nearly 2,000 pilgrims - mostly young people and families with children - took part in it. At the conclusion of the pilgrimage, permission was not granted to celebrate Mass in the Basilica of Covadonga. Instead, the pilgrims gathered to sing the Te Deum.

"Leo XIV Will Not Allow the Mass in the Roman Rite" - Cardinal Roche

"Pope Leo XIV is not going to change Traditionis Custodes, and he is not going back to Summorum Pontificum", Cardinal Arthur Roche, Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship, told TheTablet.co.uk on July 29.
Regarding the Novus Ordo, he claimed that the Church wanted to be "more missionary": "The abundant diet of Scripture that is now given through the celebration of the Mass and the sacraments is something that wasn’t available to use before, but it is now."
He acknowledged the Novus Ordo's emphasis that "the baptised people are a priestly people" and that "they too are celebrating with the priest".

Leo XIV Ratified Another Chinese Regime Bishop

Today, Rev. Francis Xavier Duan Yongkun, 45, was consecrated a bishop. The Vatican announced only today that Pope Leo XIV had appointed him on June 15 as Coadjutor Bishop of Bameng, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China.
For the previous three episcopal appointments in China, the regime publicly announced the election of the bishop-designate before the Holy See. In today's case, no comparable notice about the Chinese selection process has been released.
Underground Bishop chose recognition
The Diocese of Bameng (40,000 Catholics, 30 priests, 20 religious sisters) is not vacant.
The current bishop, Matthew Du Jiang, is only 63 years old. He was consecrated for the Catholic underground Church in 2004 and officially recognized by the Chinese authorities as bishop in 2010. As part of the recognition process, he was required to participate in an installation ceremony concelebrated with Bishop Ma Yinglin of Kunming, then a leading figure in the Chinese state church. VII. THE SEVEN WORDS SPOKEN BY JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS
1. "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." (Lk 23:34)
O loving tenderness of Jesus towards men!
St. Augustine says that when the Savior was injured by his enemies, he besought pardon for them; for he thought not so much of the injuries he received from them, and the [280] death they inflicted upon him, as upon the love which brought him to die for them.
But some may say, Why did Jesus pray to the Father to pardon them, when he himself could have forgiven their injuries? St. Bernard replies that he prayed to the Father, not because he could not himself forgive them, but that he might teach us to pray for them that persecute us. The holy abbot …Okuninzi

Both Slaves and Slaveowners' - Leo XIV on Family History

Pope Leo XIV talked on July 29 with Tom Llamas (NBC) about his heritage and what it means to be the first pope from the US.
“First of all, just to clarify, I think of myself more as the pope who happens to be American, not to belittle what it means to be American”, Leo XIV said.
Leo XIV loves about America “the sense of freedom, the sense of opportunity, the sense of having invited for generations people from around the world to be part of America.”
Discussing his family's heritage, he said, “I come from a family where my grandparents were immigrants. On my mother’s side, we have people who were both slaves and slave owners.”
Llamas also asked when the pope will visit the United States. “In the next couple of years,” Leo answered.
The interview was Leo XIV's first interview with a US television journalist, and it aired alongside the Concert for Peace, marking the 800th anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi's death, featuring Andrea Bocelli and a 200-child interfaith choir from conflict-…Okuninzi
