Leo XIV: "Not Our Task to Build a Christendom"

Today, Leo XIV received a delegation from the ecumenical 'World Council of Churches', reports Oikoumene.org.
The delegation included the German lay bishop Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, the Armenian archbishop Vicken Aykazian, the Baptist preacher Merlyn Hyde Riley, and the Protestant preacher Jerry Pillay.
According to Pillay, Leo XIV stressed "the need for visible Christian unity, recognising the challenges this presents even within the Roman Catholic Church due to the existence of different and diverse views".
Pillay said that Leo XIV affirmed that, "while our task is not to build a Christendom yet Christians must work together in unity to heal and restore the world".
After the audience, German Bedford-Strohm told Kna.de that Leo XIV had "wholeheartedly agreed upon the necessity to move us towards visible unity".
They also agreed that the Christian faith should not be used for political purposes: "Whether it is about aggressive invasion, chasing migrants or oppressing whole groups of people …More

The Apostolic understanding, that is the understanding of those who knew Him during his sojourn on Earth and to whom he promised "the spirit of truth who will tell you all things", Jesus is fully man and fully God, existing before all time of the same substance as God the Father and incarnate at a specific time as Jesus Christ. That is more than a prophet, more than a man and more than a teacher.
Goodness, there have been hundreds who met those three criteria in history.

Sister Nadia, 82, Was Raped Before Being Murdered

Brazilian authorities confirmed on February 27, that 82-year-old Ukrainian Catholic Sister Nadia Gavanski was sexually assaulted before being murdered in her convent in Ivaí, Paraná, on February 21.
The final police report concluded that the suspect will be charged not only with homicide but also with rape, based on forensic findings. Sister Nadia was found partially naked and showed signs of extreme physical aggression. She was beaten to death with a piece of wood.
Sister Nadia belonged to the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate, a Ukrainian Greek Catholic order. The order called the crime an “act of unjustifiable violence.”
The state of Paraná is home to one of the largest Ukrainian diasporas in Latin America. Almost half of the population of Ivaí can trace their heritage back to Ukrainian immigrants who started settling in southern Brazil in the late 19. century.
The suspect was arrested shortly after the crime by military police. He told the police that he had been under the …More

Baptism by Sedevacantist Bishop in Catholic Church

Archbishop Paulo Jackson Nóbrega de Sousa of Olinda and Recife, Brazil, has warned the faithful about an “alleged baptism” celebrated at the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows in Recife’s Graças neighborhood.
In a February 22 statement, the archdiocese said the rite was presided over by a man who presents himself as a bishop but has no canonical bond with the Catholic Church. Although not named in the note, the celebrant was Rodrigo Henrique Ribeiro da Silva, who identifies as a sedevacantist bishop.
“The public administration of Baptism by someone not in communion with the Church, especially in a Catholic church, constitutes a gravely illicit act,” the statement said.
The archdiocese acknowledged shortcomings in the authorization process, noting that greater prior verification should have taken place at the parish level.

Note: Baptism by a person not in communion with the conciliar church. This is an important distinction.

I just saw something about this:
Trump says Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is dead
And if it's true. we better be prepared for anything to happen. It's said by those I follow that killing him is like killing the Pope and the head of the church of England etc. But I think it will be much worse..

Israeli officials have reported that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is dead after the US and Israel’s strikes on Iranian targets.
This comes after reports suggested that the Ayatollah fled Tehran and was moved to a secure location during the strikes.
Per the
BBC, Netanyahu said earlier there were “growing signs” that Khamenei is “gone.”
Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst reported on Netanyahu’s comments earlier with updates on the ongoing campaign in Iran. “The Israelis say they are still striking targets inside Iran,” Yingst reported.
Israeli officials are now reporting that Khamenei was killed, and that his body was found.
Fox News later said on X that Khamenei is “confirmed dead.”
Per Reuters:

Collapse of Iran? What fairy tales is that called? More like a nightmare for us all soon. Iran will not collapse. And killing their Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was a terrible mistake. I really don't see the morality of killing some other nation's rulers because, in our government's opinion, that government is bad. If such murder was moral, Iran would not be first or even fifth on my list.

U.S. Bishop Prays Outside Abortion Clinic: "Not Yet Forbidden"

On 21 February, Monsignor Joseph Coffey (65), Auxiliary Bishop of the Military, along with several priests, the Sisters of Life and numerous other faithful, prayed fifteen decades of the rosary outside an abortion clinic in Philadelphia, USA. Over 6,000 abortions are performed there a year.
They were ridiculed, mocked and screamed at by a mob of militant activists on the opposite pavement. Due to the police presence, there was no physical violence.
Bishop Coffey told LifeSiteNews.com that he was there "for the babies when they die": "I hope that someday, maybe we can meet them in heaven and they can say, 'You were there, you were there with me when we died'."
He added that the police in the USA are not like those in England, who arrest people simply for praying outside abortion clinics: "We're not there yet, but we could be someday if we don't fight for our freedoms and rights."

"Those who hold the reins of government should not forget that it is the duty of public authority by appropriate laws and sanctions to defend the lives of the innocent, and this all the more so since those whose lives are endangered and assailed cannot defend themselves. Among whom we must mention in the first place infants hidden in the mother's womb. And if the public magistrates not only do not defend them, but by their laws and ordinances betray them to death at the hands of doctors or of others, let them remember that God is the Judge and Avenger of innocent blood which cried from earth to Heaven."

‘Life of St. Benedict’ by Aurelius McMahon – 1880 – Chapter V & VI – pages 58-64; ‘Of a spring of water which the saint, by his prayers, produced on a mountain...’

[Saint Benedict of Nursia; V-VI Century AD; Nursia, Kingdom of Italy/Mons Casinus, Eastern Roman Empire; aged 67; Father of Western Monasticism ~ Order of Saint Benedict, Patron of Europe, Rule of Saint Benedict, Saint Benedict Medal]
Chapter V ~ ‘Of a spring of water which the saint, by his prayers, produced on a mountain.’
“Of the monasteries which the saint built, three were situated on the rocks of mountains.
It was a painful task for the monks to be obliged to come down every day to the lake to fetch water. This labor incommoded them all the more as it was accompanied with danger, and they were afraid of falling when coming down, as the declivity was very steep. The brethren of these monasteries assembling together, went to Saint Benedict and said: ''It is very fatiguing for us to be forced to come down every day to the lake for water, and it is therefore necessary to change the site of our monasteries." The saint having heard their complaints, consoled them in gentle language …More

''It is very fatiguing for us to be forced to come down every day to the lake for water, and it is therefore necessary to change the site of our monasteries." The saint having heard their complaints, consoled them in gentle language and dismissed them in peace. The following night he repaired to the rocks with the little Placidus, of whom we have already spoken, and there spent a long time in supplication. Having finished his prayer, he marked the place with three stones and returned to his monastery, the religious knowing nothing of what he had done. The same brethren coming to him again to represent how inconvenient it was to have no water near, he replied : '" Go and scoop out a small cavity in the rock where you see it marked with three stones, for Almighty Grod can make water flow from the mountain top to spare you the fatigue of so long a journey."

BREAKING: Trump announces ‘massive' US military operation against Iranian regime - LifeSite

Sat Feb 28, 2026 - 7:33 am ESTSat Feb 28, 2026 - 8:26 am EST
(
LifeSiteNews) — The United States and Israel have launched multiple “pre-emptive” missile strikes against Iran, targeting both government buildings, military installations, and regime leaders.
Dubbed “Operation Epic Fury,” the mission’s early targets have included the residences and offices of Iran’s supreme leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei, the Iranian Parliament, the National Supreme Council, the Ministry of Intelligence, and the Iranian Atomic Energy Agency.
Israel is targeting Iran’s leadership while the U.S. military is currently focused on neutralizing Iran’s missile defense system.
It remains unclear whether Khamenei was killed in the attack.
In an eight-minute video statement released on social media as the U.S. slept, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. military had begun “a massive and ongoing operation” in Iran, likely signaling that this will be an extended engagement lasting days or weeks.

"13 ~ When the Son of God was born into the World through the Mother, he appeared in heaven in the Father; therefore the angels immediately trembled and sang sweet praises in their joy. He lived in the world without stain of sin and sent forth into the darkness of unbelief a light-filled blessing of doctrine and salvation; but he was rejected by an unbelieving people and led away to suffer; he shed his beautiful blood and tasted in his body the darkness of death. By this means he overcame the devil, led forth his elect from hell in which they had been thrown down and confined, and brought them back, through his mercy and the touch of his redemption, to the inheritance which they had lost in Adam. And when they arrived in their inheritance, drums and harps sounded and songs of music in countless beautiful variations, for the human being who had been lying in a lost state was now in a blessed state. Freed by heavenly virtue, he had escaped death."
